nabdu is the first app programmed and designed to help keep Mainstream Media (MSM) accountable in their reporting on various social media sites. This app is designed to allow users to vote to decide if the articles generated by MSM on their social media is credible.
We were inspired to create nabdu after watching countless posts by various "trusted" MSM sources that were purposely creating articles/headlines to incite their users to argue, bash, and write hateful posts to one another. Instead of reporting on the content itself the MS were, in a sense, creating their own news. Some people called it "fake news" and others "alternative news" but the cold hard reality to the situation was that the actual "news" portion was being spun to pander to certain demographics.
MSM has been replacing accountability with sensational news and steadily over the course of time a bubble of fear, uncertainty and divide has gripped our country. The MSM has been caught several times releasing headlines and stories that were proven to be false but the damage was already done as users had spread the stories like wild fire for others to read. As accountability becomes an after thought and facts become distorted the general masses keep arguing over stories that never took place which, in turn, causes more division.
This is the first app that allows users to post article linked on social media accounts by MSM and allows other users to vote on what their opinions are of the article. This app is intended to give control back to the people who will then decide if they are receiving fair, true and unbiased news reporting from their MSM news sources.
Its an easy process:
1. Download the app
2. Connect to social media networks through app.
3. Find news article posted on news feed, etc.
4. Copy link of the article and paste it in the app where it will download for others to read.
5. Select from a drop down list of reasons why article fits criteria to be posted on the app:
- click bait - misleading/sensational headline
- race-bait - unnecessary focus on racial aspect
- political bias - spinning a story to focus on only one political side
- agenda driven - omitting certain facts in article
- fear mongering - creating public fear about a particular issue
- celebrity nonsense - excess exposure to celebrity opinion
- why is this newsworthy? - useless article that is a distraction from real issues
6. Tag the company by name so it can be searchable by others.
7. Upload the article and BOOM!!! The MSM source has been nabdu (nabbed by you) for the world to see.
8. Other users at this point can vote if the agree or disagree
